Dermatology / Aesthetic Center

Design Nehez was hired to transform a bland medical office environment of an aesthetic dermatology office into a comfortable, homey, country-chic atmosphere . Located in historic Doylestown PA, the office building complex is surrounded by two farmhouses, rolling streams and covered bridges. This area is internationally recognized because it is the home of the Moravian Tile Works where Mercer Tile was born. Using Mercer Tile as an inspiration for decorative accents, Design Nehez discovered a local tile company, Peace Valley Tile, where the craftsmen had been trained at the Moravian Tile works. For the past 30 years they have been designing their own interpretation of Arts and Crafts tile. They let us sort through all the broken tiles and left over installation remnants from a lifetime of work.
With a beautiful selection of tile remnants we created eight large scale, burlap wrapped canvases that display these tiles throughout the facility. The tile’s color and soft patterning became the design anchor for the mood of the decor.
